Aubrey Harris

Before the Second World War Aubrey Harris was a member of Oxford Harriers, before joining the Army, where he became its mile and three mile record holder. He also took part in a world record breaking GB 4 x 1500m relay team, and represented England and the AAA in 1936. Following the war he became one of the founder members of the club in 1946.  He was secretary of the club from 1953 to 1971, and during this time was also a starter at local, national, and international competitions.
